This explored the specific design of integrated lighting into a performance where traditional lighting wasn’t used. This was achieved by incorporating embedded lighting into the scenic structure and using projections. To ensure this was specifically designed for the performance, it was key to work closely with the choreographer on how this structure was designed. To consider the dancer's body and their height, wingspan, hand size, etc.… To create as many opportunities as possible, it was essential to envision the potential from structural and dance capabilities with the choreographer. We wanted the performance to be a union of movement and design.
